Foundation Design.
We use the available information to determine which foundation solution is best for your project and design accordingly, including; pile and ground beam, piled slab, raft, and traditional trench fill.
Superstructure Design.
The design of all structural elements above ground, such as beams, lintels, and roofs. We have experience in designing and specifying all standard materials including concrete, masonry, steel, and timber.
Drawings.
We communicate our designs by producing accurate and reliable CAD drawings, for each and every project. Effective communication reduces the chance of errors occurring on site.
Calculations.
We produce all the necessary structural calculations, which will need to be submitted in support of a Building Regulations application in order to demonstrate compliance with the Building Act 1984 and the Building Regulations 2010.
Site Inspections.
Typically, the first thing we do on any project is carry out a site inspection. This helps us to visualise the proposals and discuss project requirements with yourself on site.
Ground Investigations.
We design and organise ground investigations, where necessary, to create a more informed foundation design. The investigation itself will be undertaken by a subcontractor.
Conceptual Design.
A conceptual design can identify potential issues at an early stage and provide an indication regarding the extent of structural works required, before you commit to a full, detailed design.
Knock-Throughs.
We can design a beam or lintel to facilitate the removal of a load-bearing wall, to connect two rooms or create an open-plan area.
Measured Surveys.
We visit your property to create elevations and plans in AutoCAD format. These drawings can then be used to form the basis of our design.
